  Went there for Sunday Mass with my kids in order to find out what it would be like to live in this parish as Delmar has good schools. Fr Thomas Hayes presided. He changed large parts of the liturgical texts and substituted them with his own versions. He consistently avoided uttering the word "Christ" which made for very odd listening. At this point I didn't know whether he was the pastor and whether this was standard practice at the parish, so when he greeted us at the exit I asked him about it and he told me, literally, that if I didn't like it, I shouldn't come to live in his parish.

  St. Thomas in Delmar has been my spiritual home since I moved here in July of 1978 from Buffalo, N.Y.
  
  Each Saturday Vigil or Sunday Mass brings me peace, understanding, and wisdom, from hearing the Gospel. I love the music ministry and being a part of it, is joyful!
